Information of relocation : Australia
Entries of a student visa, work visa, an immigrant visa, a tourist visa,
a permanent resident are all possible.
Customs Information
Customs duties are charged at 15 % to 30 % of the price of goods, and 15 % is imposed only if the lease is in place and the visa is left over 10 months.
Tourist visa
Only small amount of quantity (about 3cbm) is allowed without duty.
Student visa
Depending on the period of staying, the quantity of goods that can be sent without duty varies.
Permanent resident
If you send your shipment within one year after receiving the green card, you can clear the duty free entry. After that, sending goods requires evidence that you have lived in Korea for more than six months and the quantity is limited.
Citizen
It is possible to clear customs if you have lived in Korea for more than six months. Since the second half of 2006, it is no longer possible to clear customs without the shippers entering the country. If you arrive later than the delivery date, the customs clearance will be delayed, leading to additional costs, such as warehouse storage fees. You don't have to attend the customs clearance in person and local office will get the authority to do so.
Required Documents
1
A copy of passport
2
B/L & PACKING LIST (GLS KOREA handles it)
3
Unaccompanied Personal effect statement
4
Visa
If you do not have the required paperwork for customs clearance, you will be charged approximately 25 % tax and VAT (GST).
Unlike commercial shipment, the customs officer determines whether to inspect the shipment after checking documents. The standard being determined by the customs officer is slightly different; typically about 10 percent of the cases are checked.
Shipping Schedule
Once the ship arrives at the port of destination, the customs procedures shall be taken after unloading the container.
Customs clearance generally takes anywhere from a week to 10 days when all documents are complete. As in any country, customs may randomly check the containers to see if the actual container matches the paperwork, which may cause delays in customs clearance. Once the customs clearance is complete, we will discuss the delivery schedule with the customer's contact information before we proceed with the delivery. The transport dates required vary slightly by region, with the average transport times calculated in major cities is as follows:
?‹¤?
  Sydney Melbourne Brisbane Adelaide
Total Estimated Period 33~43 Days 37~44 Days 35~45 Days 35~45 Days
** The schedule above may be changed according to natural disasters, prehistory and customs clearance.

Carry-in significant item
1
Food: Sydney and Melbourne allow bringing food as there are many Asians but the Brisbane and Adelaide and
other areas limit very strictly. In addition, it is necessary to put the names on the product list exactly to avoid
disadvantages.(In other words, if salted fish is listed as a kitchen item, it will be subject to transfer examination,
and a delay in customs clearance will be expected as a result.) It is better to send the products packaged in
sealed containers, such as soybean paste and pepper sauce, and inquire about other food products before proceeding.
2
Refrigerators, Kimchi Refrigerators, and Air Conditioners: In Sydney and Melbourne you can bring in without
any restriction, but in other areas, CFS gas products are prohibited and you must check them with your staff
representative in advance. Although some other areas have been deregulated without problems, in principle CFS
gas products are prohibited from being brought in, and may be returned, disposed of, or inspected by customs officers.
3
New electronic goods or kitchen appliances: The Australian Customs Office is basically responsible for tariffs on
new products which have not been used more than 1 year. Customs duties are about 20 to 25 percent, so if you are
sending a new product, please remove the packaging and leave traces of usage. For air conditioners, it's a good idea
not to bring it with you unless you buy a house and move. Renting makes it impossible to drill into the wall without
prior permission from the owner, so you may not be able to use it. You must declare quarantine when bringing plants,
animals, and food. The quarantine dogs are placed at the airport's entry point and detected, while the quarantine
officer searches at random for incoming passengers. If not reported, a fine can be imposed up to $ 110AU at the site
and a maximum of $ 50,000MW or up to 10 years can be sentenced to a more serious offence.
